3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of cocoa, coffee, subtle booze, and subtle cherries. Black with a somewhat diminishing, tan head. Sightly sweet, some strength, balanced well with finishing hop bitterness. Full bodied with low carbonation, and a roasty, warming, bitter finish.

Had a sample of this beer at the brewpub. Poured a dark black color with an almost wispy tan head. Aroma was some chocolate notes, coffee and plenty of alcohol in here. Roasted malt notes, with some coffee notes. Alcohol is pretty noticeable in this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A full bodied beer that balances between dark chocolate and bittering hops, with a soft carbonation and smooth finish. Unfortunately, I did not notice any cherry flavor (which the menuís description claimed was in the beer), but thatís about the only disappointment in this tasty imperial stout. Well made.
