3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draught at Wild Woods Brewing, this pours a copper-amber into the glass, with a wispy head that reduces to thin lacing. The nose has floral notes, sourdough and jasmine. The jasmine and stone-ground bready malts meet a light citrus note and close the finish with a crisp bitter back. The mouthfeel is a little underwhelming: light in the mouth and although not devoid of substance, lacking some character and body that would make a next-tier APA.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slightly hazy copper with a thin white head. Nose was a bit light but I got some blonde graininess, a bit of jasmine and honey, and a touch of herbal hops. Flavor is a little too light and crisp, with a majority of the flavor being jasmine and pale maltiness. Neither sweet nor dry, nor too malty or too bitter. It’s so middle of the road that if it didn’t have that floral/herbal jasmine tone it would be a ’nothing’ beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Wild Woods. Pours a hazy amber with a finger of eggshell head, a little lacing. Aroma of hay, wheat, mildly bitter. Flavor is wheat and mild malt up front. Fades into mildly pale tones, with hints of apple and pear. Mild bitterness that lingers. Moderate carbonation, light body, and a mild mouthfeel. Drinkable, but could be much bolder in flavor and texture. A passable pale ale.
