COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Very few breweries in Germany nowadays still brew a light colored bock beer. Will-Bräu is still continuing with this tradition. The beer has a golden color, is very malty & has a rich flavor with a hint of sweetness. A well rounded brew.

Clear golden with quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is honey sweet, malty, buttery, slight caramel. Taste is medium caramel sweet, malty, buttery, slightly nutty. Finish has a hint of grassy bitter to go with the light alcohol warming. Medium body, only a bit sticky.

Durchschnitt. Test vom 18.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,9,8,11,9 - 8,80

As Maibock. Bottle at the brewpub. It’s warm golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt and flower. The sweet flavour has notes of newly harvested grain, malt and clover-flower. It’s soft and pleasant and hides the alcohol well.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy pale golden, large sudsy white head, fairly nice lacing, with light carboantion.   Aroma of malts, oats, sweet grass, and light fruit.   Grassy flavor, quite malty, bitter sweet.   Fairly decent body, medium mouthfeel.   Finishes light, lingering sweet grass & malts.   Fairly clean too.   Decent.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (bread), lightly hoppy (herbs, grass), with a hint of smoke. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, soft carbonation. Not bad, not great...grassy/herbal hops swim around in a sea of bread. Turns a bit sour in the finish.

Bottled 330ml. -as Will-Bräu Weihnachts Bock. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, dusty malty nose with touch of honey. Sweet malty, slight alcoholic and some dry hoppy notes with short bitter finish. Pretty standard bock.

A golden bock, this was capped by a slew of large yellow bubbles in lieu of a head. It smelled of fresh ground malt, very intensely sweet. The commercial description speaks of a "hint of sweetness," but I found the bready malt flavor to be almost cloyingly so with little help from any hops to balance the brew out. Drinkable, certainly, but I’ll stick with other bocks.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and buttery. Medium body bock. Malts are sweet and very buttery. Hops are slightly bitter. Very sweet and buttery, possibly infected? Touch thin tasting for a bock. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
