3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beer #2 in the Jpdipso bock run.Nice reddish amber color, small to no head at all.The aroma was malty sweet with a decent caramel and mild hops, sweet fruit presence that is hard to put a finger on.Nice malt taste with a decent caramel and sweet upfront with a mild bitterness coming on towards the endThe fruit flavor comes and goes but gets stronger towards the end as the brews warms. Not a bad brew but it could use a little help in the flavor and the body.Overall decent but nothing special, worth trying atleast once.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 20, 2003 This is maybe a made-from extract version of their Wisconsin Amber or something like that. Stylishly similar, but not as well crafted.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Orange/red color with a thick tan head. Simple bready malt scent. The taste is pretty simple too. Slight caramel, and not much more. No better than average.

So as I sit here downloading porn, I decided to try this beer. It's not bad, and it makes the women in the porn look better.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear amber color with a moderate ecru head. Clean light hops and malt aroma, nothing intoxicating, just clean. Clean and dry in the flavor area as well. A solid, but not not stirring, vienna style.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not sure whether this is the same as Capital Amber or not. Brewed by Capital for Brennan's grocery store. Clear light copper body with a thick, but short-lived beige head. Don't know why it's called a dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty but overrun by the typical American standard hop presense. Some caramel malt flavors are present and the finish is dry, yet sticky. An average beer at best. I expected a little more.
