Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, caramel, and some fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and some spices, leading to a dry spicy finish, where also a note of nuts appears. The alcohol tickles the tongue. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, at Cardinal. A clear, copper-colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. Almost peaty on the nose, with butterscotch and some dried fruits. Butterscotch, dried fruits, roasted malts and some faint peaty hints in the mouth, full-bodied and dry. Roasted finish. A pleasant, flavorful beer where the butterscotch isn’t annoying at all. 091106
