"Premium Scottish Lager"
A "gathering" of ingredients from around the world: Hops from the Czech Republic, and the U.S., Belgian pilsener malt, German yeast, and Scottish water take their own good time to combine and produce a delicious, crisp, citrusy lager.

Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in September 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant smooth oak vanilla note in the aroma. Pale malt complex gives sweet fruit notes of mango and lychees. Hops impart a floral bitter flavour in the short aftertaste. Slight sweet edge returns to the finish. An excellent session ale.

Aroma: Inoffensive, clean.

Appearance: Light golden, clear body. Mild carbonation. Tiny head which soon dissipates.

Taste: Not as crisp as I had hoped. Quite bland actually. Would benefit from additional hops and carbonation.

Palate: Thin, watery body. Light mouthfeel. Very little alcohol flavour on the finish.

Overall: Not a bad lager, but certainly not a great one. Too flat, too flabby.

A lager the way it should be. Crisp and dry not fat and sweet as the normal mass produced lagers are.

Bottle from Alesela
Light straw...crystal clear...big frothy white head....good lacing
Aroma is light - spicy hops, some citrus hops, light pale malts
Taste of spicy light grassy hops...some citrus...good light sweet pale malt background - light flavour overall but good for a lager
Palate - soft carb, light to medium body, light sweet malts and some bitterness, smooth, slightly oily texture. Finish - sweet malt and spicy hops lingers a little with a bit of bitterness.
Overall - Light in aroma and flavour but it’s a good lager - far far better than the macro crap - underrated here IMHO (No way it deserves RB of 28) - maybe it’s better bottled?

_angst_ (3840) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 24, 2011
330 ml bottle @ BAJT on November 24. Sampled thanks to a friend. Pours pale golden with a fluffy white head that dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is stale and spicy with some wood and peat. Taste is very sweet with wood, vanilla, some sweet fruits and a slight hoppy bitterness. Finish is malty sweet.
