Burnt sugar toffee flavours making way for a fruity hoppiness, nice ruby roundness and warmth. Nice head and long clean finish. Not sure this qualified as a session beer.

Bottle by OCT 2012. Nose is big on caramel, a lil sticky, with dough and spicy hops. Pours cloudy dark amber with a rocky tan head. Taste a little sharply sour and metallic, light-medium bitterness and pretty dry. Earthy malt, some caramel and faint roast in with hop resins and a touch of citrus. Light-medium body.

A very nice Scottish Red Ale from the wonderful Williams Brothers Brewery! This has got a strong and interesting aroma which sets you up for a bit of strong taste however it’s actually quite soft and as warming just like the ruby red coloured body, coupled with the deep yellow frothy head! Characteristically this feels like an autumn beer!
