Bottle. Pours nice amber with a dense beige head. Typical aroma for this style, malty, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet with a nice light bitter finish and also dry.

500 ml bottle. Hazy, dark golden body with a big creamy tan head. Aroma of mild caramel and bread. Flavour is sweet malt, some caramel, bread, yeast and some bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste. Pretty average bitter, a bit anonymous.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Graham77 (86) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAR 22, 2013
500ml bottle. Reddish copper colour with minimal head which disappears quickly. Watery on the palate. Aroma is sweet maybe fruity. Taste medium sweet and medium bitter. Really quite mediocre to be honest.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AshtonMcCobb (1453) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 9, 2013
50cl bottle in Lebowskis. Pours a lovely amber colour with a reasonable head. The nose has some biscuit aroma as well as a little lemon zest coming through. The taste is very similar and although a light beer the citrus and the biscuits really is in harmony. The palate is light to medium in body with a nice refreshing finish. I really like this as a session ale. Very balanced.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BlackHaddock (2362) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2013
500ml Bottle: poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 1 Mar 2013. BBD of May 2013.
Being a Scottish Red Ale: it has, as you’d expect a red hue to its colour, although ’dirty dish water brown’ might actually be a better discription in this instance. My beer had a cloudy disposition as well. The head looked good though, off-white foam blanket of a good thickness (Tog 3).
Sweet nose of toffee apples with a floral overtone: this carries on into the taste, caramel notes up the sweetness but luckily some hop bitterness calms it down somewhat, but it is still a sweet tasting brew. Red berries in the mix too: I quite liked it actually.
Different and interesting: might be too sweet for some. Pity about the misty look, otherwise I’d be scoring a bit higher.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerheart65 (680) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 27, 2013
Nice clear, ruby red, short thin head, bit lacing. Strong aroma of caramel malting, bread. Good aroma but bit one-sided. Dry, slightly bitter, bit woody, thin..almost watery, average carbonation, dry malty finish quite long. Too watery for my taste, tough flavor is not bad.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mighty_meadow (102) - Kilwinning, SCOTLAND - FEB 11, 2013
Pours a polished chestnut colour with a thin white head, some large bubbles. Not too much in the aroma stakes. Taste of berries and nuts. Quite malty. Thin palate with slight fizziness. Finishes off nutty with a hint of seed bread, toast. Stays fresh to the end with quite a bit of lacing in the glass. Not my first choice from this brewer but one I would try again.
