Clear golden beer with a zesty hop aroma. The flavour is a very sharp, sweet citrus with hops, leaving a sweet, tangy finish. Nice but the strength and sweetness mean I wouldnít want more than a couple at most.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head at first. It then disappears quite quickly. Nose - lemon curd and some biscuit maltiness Taste - more creamy citrus. Sweet in the middle but persistent bitterness thereafter. Palate - medium bodied with a big tangy texture, and a long dry finish. Overall - good stuff. Overall -

Not much nose. Deep golden colour. Decent hop& sweet marriage though rather atypical. Some fizziness and caramel in the mouth. Reasonably potent. Better than this score would imply.

Bottle. Thin metallic veg aroma. Flavour redeems the aroma slightly - bitter citrus with a sweet twang. Had better.

Bright metallic golden with a decent visible carbonation and oily off white ringed head. Estery and chemically thinned hop resinous nose - sweaty and creamy in all the wrong places. I canít really shake this eggy/fartiness throughout but Iíll try. Softly spoken pine, oily floral, slight unexpected tang - like the unseen bits inside the grooves of a poorly washed fork. Drinks well enough for the ABV, but at the same time has embers of bitterness. Whispers of sly sweetness on the finish...but again a chalky and telling egginess evens this out. For me this has failed on many levels for the style.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Kegerater, the beer hive, Edinburgh. Pours Amber has a citrus hippy nose with an Initial bitter kick then moving in to slightly sweet middle taste. This moves along for the initial bitterness to come back in for the long finish. EDIT- Had it on tap and would have got 4+ also had it in normal bottle and it would have got a 2, so iím just gonna leave my original scores.

Keg at Holyrood 9a. Looks nice, golden with a decent head and lacing. Has a mixed hop aroma - possibly English hops with US Citrus hops in the mix. Tastes a tad thinner than Iíd expect at 8.3%. Refreshing palate, like the standard Joker. Nice.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2014 Keg at Red Squirrel. Pale gold, thin white head, good lacing. Resinous aromas, orange and caramel. Taste has a good bitterness and some thick sweetness. Oily texture, clean finish. Nice. Not great in the bottle mind you.

Cask-conditioned at Inn Deep, Glasgow 19/6/2013. Deep gold with moderate fizz. Grapefruit to the fore, with some pine, sweetish malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, tight and creamy cap. Tangy citrus nose with tangerine and melon. Medium to big sweet flavor, somewhat boozy, tangy, with ripe and almost rotting orange and grapefruit, some mango. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, lightly sticky and resinous, with faint pine, further tangy citrus fruits. Nothing special, but reasonably drinkable given the ABV.
