COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Launched 2009.
Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, Root ginger, Malted wheat, Sugar, Lemon rind, Lemon juice, Yeast.
A traditional style ginger beer, made with a malt base, lashings of fresh ginger root, a touch of organic cane sugar, lemon juice & yeast… that’s it. Our ginger has a distinctly ’beery’ taste without the bitterness of hops. Creating a refreshing, malty spiced brew.

Bottle from Fenwick in Newcastle. Very pale golden in colour with a light and sweet mellow ginger flavour and a dry, sweet warming finish.

Copper red. VERY gingery aroma. Fruity to begin with, the rest is ginger. In my opinion, terrible. The first beer ever I have not finished.

Appearance Clear, golden, looks quite carbonated. Doesn’t produce an impressive head; it disappears quickly. Aroma Certainly smells of ginger, but not too strongly, the citrus is also there; fresh. Taste A Surprisingly strong ginger flavour, it lingers and finds its way to the back of mouth. The ginger hides most of the citrus, but it’s there. Sweet aftertaste. Overall Not a very ‘beery’ beer, mostly due to the strong ginger, but also due to complete lack of hops I think. I’ve had a few alcoholic ginger beers (I have fond memories of the house beer at the Ginger Man — very drinkable but not as gingery as this one). It’s a good beer, not afraid to give you the full tang of ginger. Also manages to be quite flavoursome for such low alcohol content. Williams does some very nice beers, I’m always up for trying a new one from them. I acquired this one from Stockmann Herkku in Helsinki, Finland.

Bottle 50cl, a clear golden bee with good head. Nose is very perfumed on ginger and orange blossom. Aroma is sweet, very perfumed too on fresh ginger, very peppery and spicy, good. Finish is very peppery and ginger like. Good body for a low alcohol beer.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden yellow colour, thin white head. Aroma of fresh ginger with a hint of malt. The flavour is sweetsish, mildly malty, with citrus fruits and a lingering ginger finish. Nice, if you like ginger. I do.

Lots of ginger in this one, its too hot/spicy. But nice aroma though. Light orange coloured and hazy. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is sweet and has heavy notes of ginger. Flavor is too spicy, a bit unpleasent. Lively carbonation.
