Cleat golden. White head. Moderately hoppy aroma and taste. An easily drinkable and well balanced golden ale, although not overly exciting.

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Pale gold colour with a decent, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt with some hay and floral slightly peppery hops. Light mouth feel with some malt flavours, a touch of bitter orange and a tangy citrus dry finish. Good.

A 0.5L bottle. Pale large bubbled head. Lace forming head. Golden yelloow colour. Malty fruity taste. At the end hoppy bite. Also some lemon in the taste.

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 5, 2010
A zero-flaw, malty golden ale that unfortunately lacks individuality for all of its sessionability.

Clear, medium-gold hue; thin, white sponge of a head. Rich, bready malts alongside candied pears and mossy notes in the aroma. Off-dry, low-moderate clean acidity, low-moderate lemony bitterness. Medium-light body, slick and creamy texture, soft carbonation. 50 cl bottle, best before July 2011.

Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - SEP 22, 2006
Aptly gold pour, small but lingering white head that leaves some pretty patches of lacing down the glass. Orange peel, pine, floral. A restrained buttery/candy aroma. Pithy orange zest, apricot jam, clean bright malt with a touch of biscuit in the finish. Light, refreshing, but with a nice heft. A solid, flavorful ale. Just a little bit viney in the finish.

Bottle at home. Clear darkish golden, good white head. Grassy hops, hint of something earthy on the nose. Clean, dry grassy palate with some hints of zesty hop. Nice refreshing summer brew, but nothing exciting.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 10/20
tfredvik (1322) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 12, 2013
Clear, golden body with a short-lived, smaller than average white head that leaves some lacing. Moderate aroma that is quite sweet with fruity notes and some sweet honey. Moderate sweet taste with a light bitter, light dry and quite short finish. Some fruits and berries in the flavours, sweet honey in the back and some faint traces of sweet and overripe banana. Light bodied, a bit watery texture but still rather smooth, soft carbonation. Too boring and too sweet for such modest flavours and weak bitterness. Not actually bad, though.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 2 months before BB date, from Meny Oslo City, Oslo]

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2008 Bottled. Excuse me while I go all giggly. It may have been the company I kept or the mad dogs weather but this just scored all the way for me. Lovely light gold body, faintly floral aroma, tightrope balanced flavours (malts covered in liquid fruit) and a simple short finish.
