peponi (369) - POLAND - JUN 4, 2014
Aroma: golden ale, what means almost nothing. Ok, some citrus notes and DMS. Appearance: nice clear straw color, white head. Taste: low bitterness, pharmaceutical aftertaste with iron - terrible, some citrus notes and sweetness Palate: low body and high carbonation, strange aftertaste. Overall: Real golden ale, what means fuc&%^$ close to water with medicaments.

Fine one with a nice mixture of hops, barley and some oats in the back. Heavily drinkable with a crispy carbo and some vanilla in the aroma. Definitely to recommend.

50cl bb MAY2015, courtesy of bastarda@1st Freiburger Tri-State Tasting, danke. Smells almost as much of Bionade as of a UK PA - label indicates elderflowers and gooseberries (1%), not meadowsweet, added: gooseberry, rhubarb, green apple peel, fruity hop smell. Extremely easy drinking, pairs well with asparagus coincidentally...Carbed like a fizzy lemonade, ditto palate, - adjuncts do border on taking over the simple ale beneath.

nice surprise! you don’t usually expect a beer with goosebeeries and elderflowers to be that hoppy! but this is what it is - rather dry and refreshing (though not as much as their wateryharvest sun) with a nice floral/fruit scent with obvious hop hints, and pleasantly bitter i’d say. i also found it perfectly paired with hot pizza. floral, citrus, pale, sparkling, minimal head, lightly bitter, light body, rather thin feel, average carbonation,
