500 ml bottle. Nice citrus aroma, predominantly grapefruit. Light golden colour with a significant white head. Quite highly carbonated which is appealing in this style of beer. Not sweet, perhaps biscuity but with a pleasant bitter finish on the palate which does not overpower. One of Williams Bros. better offerings.

Pale Amber, white head. Soft Citrus floral nose. Biscuit malt profile, light hop bitterness in the finish. Bit watery. Pleasant enough, more like a pale ale than a big IPA.

Pours a clear golden yellow with an off white head. I immediately get the malt backbone then some floral hops as well as some citrus. Taste is some caramel malt, floral hops and some grapefruit ending dry and somewhat bitter. Light/medium body with nice soft, elegant carbonation. Overall a decent brew though I like the wonderful carbonation more than anything...

500ml Bottle (Sainsbury’s, £1.51):
Hoppy to begin with but a subdued, unmistakably English IPA aroma that is fruity with some orange and citrus notes along with some pine and light grapefruit notes. A very nice smell that has some floral touches and an earthy hop aroma too.
Bright amber colour with a large, two fingers tall head that is a foamy white and has excellent retention.
Very hop filled with some pine and lighter grapefruit that mirrors the nose. There is some orange and sweet fruits in the mix along with a touch of earthy bitterness.
A little bitter and quite well balanced with a nice, medium body and moderate carbonation along with a nice, crisp citrus finish that is slightly dry too.

I’ve tried this one a few times before on nights out and not fully appreciated how good it actually is. A very nice IPA that was very enjoyable. Definitely one to look out for and try if you get the chance.

Bottle, from Hogsback store, at JF’s Calcutta Cup mini tasting - 02/02/13. Clear golden with a white head that departs edgeward and leaves a small film in time. Nose is caramel malt, hops, sugars, citrus. Taste follows, orange, hops, caramel, grass. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in a dryish finish. Ok.

Kinda tasted like a bottle version of a cask ale, a little light on everything. Not bad, but not very hoppy (as everyone else has already mentioned). I thought it was pretty forgettable (except the glorious label) and wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottle, from Hippo Beers in Glasgow. Perfectly drinkable IPA - as I’d expect from Williams Bros., who are reliably good - but this really didn’t have the hoppiness that it claimed which is a shame.

Bottle. Pours a golden in color with a short white head. Floral hoppy aroma with citrus, pine and grass. Flavor was hoppy with pale malts, citrus, caramel, floral and some malty sweetness with a light bitter finish.

Nice hoppy taste, but not as hoppy as claimed. Pale golden colour, slightly fizzy. Had some at the Fiddler’s Arms in Edinburgh.

Bottle. Bitter and faintly metallic nose with some hoppy spice but not as much as the label would suggest. Pours orange with a weak white head. Flavour is more of the same - following the nose with some pleasing hop astringency but mainly metallic sharpness and an astringent finish that delivers unbalanced bitterness rather than pleasant fruity, spicy moreishness. Had better.
