2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Kinda tasted like a bottle version of a cask ale, a little light on everything. Not bad, but not very hoppy (as everyone else has already mentioned). I thought it was pretty forgettable (except the glorious label) and wouldn’t buy it again.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, from Hippo Beers in Glasgow. Perfectly drinkable IPA - as I’d expect from Williams Bros., who are reliably good - but this really didn’t have the hoppiness that it claimed which is a shame.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice hoppy taste, but not as hoppy as claimed. Pale golden colour, slightly fizzy. Had some at the Fiddler’s Arms in Edinburgh.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Bitter and faintly metallic nose with some hoppy spice but not as much as the label would suggest. Pours orange with a weak white head. Flavour is more of the same - following the nose with some pleasing hop astringency but mainly metallic sharpness and an astringent finish that delivers unbalanced bitterness rather than pleasant fruity, spicy moreishness. Had better.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Initiailly unspectacular in the class. Golden and clear to the eye with some reeasonable frothy head but no beading. Focused, spiky and some peppery bitterness with some intensity which is reasonablty sustained. There is a marmalade and ginger quality to about it as well though none of these are especially forward. Subtle, but it does grow on you.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, from Beverley Garden Centre. Gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Delicate sweet malt and restrained hop resin in the nose, quite fruity initially in the mouth with hints of blackcurrant then a building dry bitterness carrying with it a solid earthy hoppiness, bitter and fruity finish with peppery hop resin lingering with a slight blackcurrant tang.
