3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of piney hops. The piney hops continue on in the taste and it is lighter than I was expecting. Also, the hop bitterness is much less than most of todays American IPAs. I enjoyed that it is light and easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
15/08 0.5 l bottle as Scottish Joker IPA, courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It pours golden body with smaller head. Fine orange and herbal hops make it’s aroma. Flavor is fine biscuit malty, where herbal hops are pushed in the background. Medium bodied with fine hoppy finish rounded with fine biscuit malt. For a British IPA it’s quite fine, though misses some hops and a more distinct bitterness. Nice one anyway.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
As the Scottish Joker IPA, thanks ogivlado! POured a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma hops in the nose, light (illegible), some maltiness. Ok. Salty taste, some lemony aroma hop, very light bitterness. Ok overall, but nothing special.

This was a pretty smooth IPA. Good pine and woodsy flavors, not too overpowering.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
July 18, 2010. 500ml bottle shared by jerc & mabel with me and blankboy. Clear light gold with an average white fizzy head. Grassy aroma, slightly burnt, with background generic grainy sweetness. Taste follows, a bit harsh, actually. Still, slick grassy mouthfeel, slightly gritty ... whatever.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured with a very light coloring, barely worth labeling "straw" ... Little to no head. The initial aroma is sweet and grassy. This drinks wiht a distinct graininess up front, sweet and fruity out back. Light in body. (#4165, 7/12/2011)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Light cereal note for the malt, moderate herbs and citrus peel for the hos, faint soap for the yeast, with pepper and hints of date and ripe pineapple in the background. Head is small, frothy white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. I gave is a higher overall score because of the true-ness to the British IPA style.
