Pours a lovely orange golden colour with a nice creamy foam head that lasts. Has a very summery aroma with floral and honey notes. A very easy to drink beer for a 5%. Fruity taste with a light carbonation.

Bottle from Tesco. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is fresh, fruity, citrus and sweet doughy notes. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, lemony, grapefruit, pepper and some sweet dough with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty easy going and drinkable.

hay, pineapple, pale, clear, white foam, nice lacing, lightly to medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, soft carbonation drinking this one for the second time - this time the aroma is worse, this beer used to have a really nice aroma, this time itís ok but not so strong as the last time, there is something peculiar in this aroma as well. Still, the beer is highly drinkable, bitterness is noticeable but not ovewhelming, carbonation is at a perfectly soft level - a nice easy beer

Quick rate. This is a great standard bottle from Williams Bros. Hoppy and bitter but thirst quenching. Really good.

Bottled 0,50L. Clear orange hazy color with nice bubbly aspect, good creamy head of long duration. Fresh hoppy and woody aroma, orange peel notes with flavour of cortex. Pleasant bitter mouth, wood, hop. Great summer bitter beer.

I poured a 500ml bottle into a nonic pint glass. It had a best before date of 10/14 and cost $4.49 ($0.27 per ounce).

Appearance: Clear bright golden color, not unlike that of a lager. Plenty of carbonation visible. Pours to a small, bright white, foamy head which retains and laces well.

Smell: Initially a skunky smell (though the bottle is brown). Could possibly be due to the hops used. Faint citrus scent as well.

Taste: India Pale Ale, though originally English is origin, is usually considered to be an American style. Therefore, when a brewery from the UK brews an American-style IPA, itís often a curious drink. Williams Brothers Scottish Joker IPA doesnít seem to be overly American or English in style, but rather drinks like a pale ale. Itís possible this bottle is old and the hops have faded, or maybe itís just not meant to be a huge brew (it is only 5% ABV after all).

A bit of a tangy flavor up front (possibly due to lightstrike or some other handling flaw), but quickly subsides and gives way to a lightly sweet lemony candy taste. A minor taste of citrusy hops through the middle, though not an especially bitter beer Iíd say. Itís actually reminiscent of Sprite soda with a lemon and lime character. A touch of dry peppery spiciness on the finish, but it fades away cleanly. Overall, a decent palette whose only major crime is being underwhelming.

Drinkability: With a thin mouthfeel and light body, Williams Brothers Scottish Joker IPA is highly drinkable. Itís lightly crisp and refreshing and leaves a fairly clean aftertaste. At only 5% ABV itís probably too light to truly be an IPA, but as a pale ale it works very well.

Clean, clear orange/gold, pours a good thick white head that lasts well and leaves some lovely lacework after each satisfying mouthful. Loads of citrus hops on both the nose and palate, some light sweetish malt lurking in the background, ends with a long lingering finish, lovely brew!

Hoppy IPA with a bitter yet refreshing taste. Not quite at the level of the double joker IPA by Williams but a lovely beer nonetheless.
