Bottle, from Hippo Beers in Glasgow. Perfectly drinkable IPA - as I’d expect from Williams Bros., who are reliably good - but this really didn’t have the hoppiness that it claimed which is a shame.

Bottle BBE Feb 2018. Well-chilled. Clear, light amber/golden appearance with a creamy tight white head. Resinous, citrus aromas with slightly bready notes. Perhaps a touch of berry fruits. Initial moderate, marmalade sweetness followed by a dull and lasting bitterness. Medium body with a dry, chewy cereal texture. Average carbonation and a reasonably long finish. A solid if not outstanding IPA, another highly-drinkable Williams Bros brew.

Pours a golden with a thick white head. Nice citrus taste with just the slightest bitter taste.

Bottle from Booth’s in Ripon. Pours amber with a frothy white head. There’s a decent amount of citrus hoppiness to this with a little spice too. Nicely refreshing and really quite enjoyable. Not amazing, but pretty good.

Bue en bouteille de 50cl. Blonde dorée, attaque sur le houblon mais longueur très courte. Pas désagréable mais sans plus.

Bottle from the Blue Glass, Bedford. Yellow gold, small wispy white head with a reasonable amount of carbonation. Muddled but pleasant aroma: grain, citrus, buttered toast. The taste however is a step up: sweet and juicy with a bitter/savoury backbone. Lovely balance. This isn’t an IPA but it’s a good beer nevertheless.

Golden amber colour, small white head. Caramel and pines on the nose. Taste is hops, bitter orange, some malty caramel. Good IPA.

tombyars (1411) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 22, 2014
Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) on the 11th September 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Zesty grapefruit peel in the short fruity aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt base gives a sharp citrus fruit base with grapefruit peel throughout. There is a dry dusty note to the grassy hop resins going long in the aftertaste. Finish is again dry with hop astringency coming through and dominating over any malt content. An ok session IPA but not as good as Fyne Jarl though.

Kolor: przejrzysty, jasno-herbaciany, troche jak napój jabłkowy. Piana: na jeden palec, drobno-pęcherzykowa. Aromat: herbaciany i - zaskoczenie- dziwnie jabłkowy.
