4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Hoppy IPA with a bitter yet refreshing taste. Not quite at the level of the double joker IPA by Williams but a lovely beer nonetheless.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clean, clear orange/gold, pours a good thick white head that lasts well and leaves some lovely lacework after each satisfying mouthful. Loads of citrus hops on both the nose and palate, some light sweetish malt lurking in the background, ends with a long lingering finish, lovely brew!

Lovely. Fruity with a bitter finish. Nice n hoppy without drawing your cheeks. Very sessionable. One of the best from Williams Bros.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy, yellow, with a small white head that disappates to thin. Light bodied, light carbonation, very fine bubbles, lots of lacing. Aroma is medium pine and mandarin, slightly grass and lemon. Taste is clean, medium bitter, lemon, mandarin orange and hoppy. Finish is clean, dry bitter and crisp. A very refreshing and easy to drink crisp, bitter beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml Bottle (Sainsbury’s, £1.51):
Hoppy to begin with but a subdued, unmistakably English IPA aroma that is fruity with some orange and citrus notes along with some pine and light grapefruit notes. A very nice smell that has some floral touches and an earthy hop aroma too.
Bright amber colour with a large, two fingers tall head that is a foamy white and has excellent retention.
Very hop filled with some pine and lighter grapefruit that mirrors the nose. There is some orange and sweet fruits in the mix along with a touch of earthy bitterness.
A little bitter and quite well balanced with a nice, medium body and moderate carbonation along with a nice, crisp citrus finish that is slightly dry too.
I’ve tried this one a few times before on nights out and not fully appreciated how good it actually is. A very nice IPA that was very enjoyable. Definitely one to look out for and try if you get the chance.

Bottled, from Pulkovsky Universam in St Petersburg, Russia.
Excellent hoppy IPA. Decent carbonation, very refreshing and moreish. One of my favourite beers, especially good during the very long summer evenings here in Russia. Some beers seem not to make the transition to the bottle well, but Joker IPA has no such problems. Recommended.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Looks and tastes more like a hoppy lemony golden ale - and a pleasantly bitter one - but an IPA? No. Needs more body and complexity to be an IPA (imho) - genuinely refreshing and easy drinker though - very quickly consumed. A good drink.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tea, dandelion, and honey aroma. Clear golden, thin lacing head. Hay and dandelion flavor, not as sweet as the aroma. Approaches citrus in the finish, but remains somewhat floral. More character than most ESBs, EPA if not IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Greatly hoppy, citrusy and fizzy beer. Hoppy aromas promise a lot on the nose and completely deliver in the flavour department. Perfect alternative to standard lagers...
