0,5 l bottle shared at Cardinal. Clear dark prune juice colored body with a small light brown head. Roasted raisins and coffee on the nose. Smooth drink with a mellow medium body. Mild roasted notes in the mouth and gently lingering. Delicious.

500ml bottle. Black in colour, creamy light brown head leaving lots of lacing, with chocolate & coffee aroma. Taste is burnt roast malt, coffee, chocolate sweetness and a fruity tangy bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Quite OK.

Bottle from local supermarket. Apprearance was good however overall not too impressed. Roasty aroma. Quite thin for what was labelled as a ’smooth creamy stout’ though interestingly the image against the beer on this site says its a dark ale which I’d have said a more accurate description.

50 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Pours very dark brown with some ruby tones. Medium creamy brown head that leaves a good lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Medium body and a light bitterness. Good one but not that complex.

Aromas - Roasted malts, liquorice, oddly also a slight aroma reminiscent of Hoegaarden thanks to the Coriander & orange zest. Taste - Quite smooth. Coffee and roasted malts. Slight creaminess. This is a nice tasty and smooth stout which I’d love to try on tap.

Aroma is quite hoppy and zesty with a hint of ash too. Initially it has hop freshness then the roasted bitter malts come through.

ClubGonzo (4028) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a deep brown, near-black body with a small light beige head. Nose is light licorice and milk chocolate, aniseed-like herbal tones and some lactic hints. Taste is filter coffee, toffee, milk chocolate, dark malts and some herbal traces. Slightly thin palate, yet smooth. A bit plain - especially for using spices - but a fair enough stout, all in all.
