Erzengel (7324) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 10, 2013
Dark in the glass with a dark beige head. The beer starts dark - roasted. Directly at the beginning enter the roasted barley flavours the mouth, even before the typical stout-sourness can be noticed. And highly drinkable for this dark and roasted brew. Dark chocolate, heavily roasted espresso-beans, crust of very dark bread. Great! And still soft, not importune. The aftertaste is long, slightly stout-sour with a bit of nice and still mild hop bitterness, and lots of roasted aroma! Only the corinder and the orange zest is not clear to me.
--> A great beer! And due to the moderate alcohol not too sticky or viscous.

Quite a nice surprise for a stout. Low alcohol and a creamy taste makes it very enjoyable. Went down very fast.

DIBBLE (102) - Worthing, West Sussex, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2015
Bottle from Beer Essentials, Horsham. Fine lasting lacey tan head over dark beer. Subtle aroma: dark berries, burnt Toast. Thick and smooth in the mouth. Complex subtle yet persistent flavours: berries, pastry, dandelion and burdock, chocolate, roast malt. Moderate carbonation. Low bitterness, very easy drinking. Slightly dry, herbal, dark malty finish.

chocolate and coriander aromas from a think black body thin creamy head, medium sweetness an intense dark chocolate bitterness with that coriander coming through in the aftertaste, full body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish. this was really rather good though it is very rich tasting!

Szybko opada do niewielkiej warstewki. Pozostawia ładny lacing. Aromat: Na pierwszym planie paloność, trochę kawy i nutka czekolady.

dark brown, slightly coke-like colour. pours a brown head that quickly settles out. looks pleasing and rather full. The aromascape is controlled by chocolate and malts with a spicy and herby twist. wood and light smoke. Reminds me slightly of the Kelpie seaweed ale. The taste is very light overall and has a strong emphasis on the aftertaste where the tingling nuances come to life. There is a bit of every taste here in a very sophisticated manner, very balanced and light, but strong in character so that every detailed can be picked out separately and enjoyed and played with. the palate goes very well with the character, having a light body with a slightly dry but moist enough texture. I like this beer: very easy to enjoy but does not patronise its drinker. Deep tastes, so much to go back to all the time.
