3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured black, with a small beige head. Caramel, molasses, licorice, oak in the nose. First sip brings citrusy, roasty bitterness with ash, dry, roasty aftertaste. Medium light, well carbonated, no taste of alcohol. Easy to drink, good.

Color tonaca di frate con leggerissima schiuma beige. Al naso è davvero cioccolatosa. Anche in bocca conferma l’aroma di cacao fondente.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark with a slightly brown head. As expected, nose of citrusy coffee and sweet licorice. Smooth, calming mouthfeel, medium thick body. Aroma of citrus, coffee, licorice. Lingering aftertaste of roasted malt. Quite enjoyable!
Edit: Goes very well with "Nidar’s Mokkabønner", a Norwegian mocha flavored chocolate.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a small beige head, which does not last all that well, but does leave good lacing. There is plenty of dark bitterness in the aroma, with espresso and cocoa prominent, supported by herbal hops. Dry herbal hops up front lead into a savoury charcuterie flavour. Bitter cocoa and espresso come in at the mid-palate, with a savoury finish. This is quite a savoury style of imperial stout, and although not as complex as the best examples of the style, it is still very enjoyable.

Sort med gulbrunt lett skum. Humlepreget aroma av sitrus med vanilje og kaffe. Myk og ganske fyldig munnfølelse med lett sødme og middels bitterhet. God lengde. (Havnabakken, 11.10.13)
