COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Profanity Stout is the first in the Williams Bros ’chapeau’ series, in which we celebrate the skills of amateur brewers whose beers we think are exceptoinal and should be made available to a wider audience. With Profanity Stout we doff our caps to Peter and Craig, the ’Balls to the Wall’ brewing duo, who developed this recipe as students on the brewing course at Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University. The beer is a blend of rich coffee and intensely fruity hop aromas on a base of full velvety malty mouthfeel.

Bottle from Appleyard’s Deli, Shrewsbury. Almost black with no head. Plenty of roast notes - coffee and burnt toast. Tasty, but pretty simple. Quite a dry finish.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, red berries, chocolate, licorice, sweet booze and bread. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of red berries, dried fruit, raw sugar and light chocolate. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Quite OK, but very British in style.

Bottle - Very Dark Brown/Black in colour; Ruby against the light. Imperial Stout with nice citrusy hops. Very Malty; roasty/burnt malts, lots of coffee, dark chocolate, hint of liquorice. Fruity; grapefruit citrus, dark fruits. Hoppy; grassy hops. Bittersweet roasty/burnt malty fruity throughout with balancing citrusy hops. Very good Impy Stout!

In your face !

330 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Not particular strong, but very nice aroma of roasted, dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet and malty, roasted, coffee, chocolate, dry fruit and balanced bitter. Fine body and good in aftertaste. A well-made, not extreme, tasty and complex stout.

33 cl brown bottle, available in a limited range of Vinmonopolet shops, Norway - my beer a gift from Rune, thanks man! Chocolate beige head, coffee body. Coffee and licorice and chocolate malts to the nose. Chocolate, grain, cream, roasted dark malts to the tongue. Round alright to palate. Finish bittersweet, roasted malts, warming chocolate. Overall an easy stout.

Scura e impenetrabile, corpo denso e gusto cioccolatoso, con note leggere di caffé e un guizzo amaro penetrante che si infila astutamente tra il sapore tostato dei malti. Profanatrice di palati a tutti gli effetti.
