A rich, ruby-red ale created by a blend of seven different malts and Cascade, Liberty, Fuggles and Styrian Goldings hops to give an outstanding balance and a taste to flavour.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Hazy dark red body. Cherries coloured actually. Cocoa dominated aroma. Cocoa also in the flavor but more spicy than expected. Unfortunately low hopped and a bit too watery. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing tan head. Aroma and initial flavour is mild spiced and of light fruity hops notes. Again a light house character with the sweet hops impression. Medium dry malt base before the finish which goes into a dry and bitter spiced hops finish.

Bottle, Oddbins, Liverpool. Pours orangey brown with a vanishing head. Aroma is grapefruit and hops. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is piney and hoppy with some fruit present also. Very American in style, but that is no criticism. Nice lingering dry bitter finish. Don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting much from this, but it turned out to be a truly excellent brew.

Bottle from Oddbins. An attractive copper/red colour with a decent off-white head and slight carbonation. Red fruit and caramel aroma with some citrus hops. Caramel was prominent in the flavour with a bitter, earthy finish. Good.

Dark red colored, medium sized thick yellow head. Rich and fine nutty and caramelly, very sweet aroma, somehow reminds me of some doppelbocks, some raisins and plum also here. Medium bodied. Flavor also starts with this nutty-caramelly sweetness, ending dries mildly, still not very bitterish brew. Some tea-notes and nuts still in aftertaste, good beer.
