3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at JFís, from Hogsback shop, cheers James 03/11/13.
Dark reddish amber with a thin off white covering.
Nose is caramel malt, light hops, berry fruit, sugars, fruit jam.
Taste comprises candied sugars, light citric, red grapefruit, caramelised sugars.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with light hop bitterness.
Decent amber ale/hoppy red affair - not a bitter in my book.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Some beers work when bottled, others donít. And this one definitely does. Superbly balanced, with a lot of hops and a good helping of malt, spiced up with a little caramel. Amazingly flavoursome for such a low abv. The only minus is itís slightly too gassy, but nothing that five minutes on the side wonít solve. A sterling beer, both on its own or with food.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at SBWF 2013. Light flowery smell and taste, brittish. Not very exciting but probably works better in a full glas.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. A light amber body with a small off-white head. Moderate in aroma, mostly caramel malt. Quite nice and fruity flavor with caramel malt, toast and moderate bitterness. Nothing fantastic, but a decent session ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Comely Bank branch. Pours a clear copper with a good white head. Interesting aromas, rye bread, cherries, cherry jam maybe? Caramel comes through on the taste, and a light hop bitterness. Medium body, medium on texture too, finishes well. Really enjoyed this.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Pours a clear medium amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Floral and fruity hops mix with rich toffee and rye bread malt to create the aroma. Citrus and floral hops up front give way to toffee malt and spicy notes in the mid-palate. Rye bread malt and citrus blossom hops make up the finish. This is a nice, satisfying malty bitter.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark copper with a medium pale head. Aroma is fruity hops and caramel malts, pretty good and promising. Taste is a bit watery and not as good as the aroma promises. Malts and fresh hops, yet a bit too thin. Okay beer anyways.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. expected more red colour.. but in fact colour was more like a copper (between orange and brown) . White head with quite big bubbles but stable. Aroma - strong, hoppy, citrus-like from Cascade hops. Taste- watery and very hoppy (also bitter) at the begining, but more malty when warmer. overall- Too american-like character of hoppiness for a bitter, but very drinkable.

En IRA som helt enkelt är ok men inte mer än så. Förmodligen inte prisvärd om jag hade kollat vad den kostade....
