Ungstrup (14753), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 27, 2006 An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma very powerful with notes of berries - reminds me of raspberries - but really are tayberries. The flavor is sweet with a cloying artificial berry note, leading to a dry bitter end. If this is what tayberries tastes like, I don’t like them, but since I both like raspberries and blackberries, I’d like to try tayberries fresh and not put in my beer. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 6, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, reddish amber with a creamy, off-white head that leaves some lacework. Fresh raspberryish aroma. Fairly light in body with some berry sweetness on the fore and then a discreet underlying tartness. The finish is dry. A surprisingly refreshing and harmonious fruit beer. 271107 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 2, 2007 Bottled. Clear golden, creamy head. Rosebud aroma. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied. Sort of a dortmunder with undefined fruits added - perhaps raspberry and rosebud. Low-medium bitterness. Peculiar,. but I find it interesting. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 24, 2008 Århus2008. 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Sweet and light fruity aroma, seems to a housecharacter for the Williams brothers. Flavour is sweet and distinct berry fruity. Shows a light acidic touch into the finish. Shows a mild bitterness lurking through the sweet berry flavours too. Quite nice and wellcomposed. These beers seem perfectly suited as summer thirst-quencers. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 Bottle 50cl. [Williams Brothers Tayberry Beer]. Clear light to medium red color with a average, forthy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white light pink grey head. Aroma is light to moderate raspberry and blackberry. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate acidic with a average duration. Body is medim to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (170508) oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland Jul 4, 2007 Bottled (thanks GarethYoung). Golden colour, small white head. Lots of raspberry and other berries, a lot of brierhip. Flavour is ainly bitter dry hops and sour fruits. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 7, 2008 Bottle at ÅBF08. Fresh hop aroma, hint of grass. Blackcurrant flavour. Clear amber colour. Refreshing berry flavour. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 26, 2007 500ml bottle from Booths. So blackberry and raspberry? Burnt orange colour. Lasting thick white head. Fruity soapy aroma, soft in mouth. More berry, pippy fruit on end, but it is soapy without doubt. It’s not exactly subtle. Lots of fruit over an undistinguished beer.
