2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at Nobles. Looked great. Pours black and waits for the head to settle. Though I’d landed a winner. Initially tasted and felt it to be a bold roasted flavour but gradually, going back to my pint became a tangy chore. Order a half.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2011 On cask @ Berts Bar, Edinburgh. It pours somewhere between ruby and chestnut and there is a thin but agreeable looking head. The nose is largely of toffee and grapes. The taste has toffee, raisins and some chocolate. The palate has a medium sized structure with an average texture in the middle section and the finish is clean. Overall, a lovely beer !
