3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask gravity at Twickenham beer festival 2015, near-black with a thin head and aromas of burnt red fruit plus a hint of coffee. Rich and dry-sweet, with roasty malt, sweet prunes, and a little more coffee. I can see the Schwarzbier idea, but it?s too full bodied and lacks the classic ashy note. It?s lovely beer though!

On Cask at Stockbridge tap. Pours deep brown with a thick creamy brownish head. Dark fruits and malts aroma. Gentle fruity malty flavours. Very easy drinking. Lovely texture and mouth feel. Slight chocolate and cappuccino coffee experience. Delicate...some might say thinnish. Works very well. Enjoyed.
