Bottle from Tescos at Brooklands, Surrey. Golden pour with a medium white head. Hoppy and dry with hints of grapefruit and lemon. Very crisp and fresh and great to drink on a warm spring afternoon such as today. Similar to a weaker American IPA. Easy to drink beer from Scotland.

0.5 l bottle from Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Copper color with small head. Sweetish aroma with perfumed, fruity, lemony and grassy hops. Hoppy flavor with lemon and tropical fruits, medium to firm bitterness as well as some underlying malt and caramel. Tastes like an american pale ale to me.

KnutAlbert (6163) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 14, 2009
Bottle from Royal Mile Whiskies, Holborn. Strong elderflower flavour, refreshing, a springtime-int-the-shade beer. But it is a bit too perfumed, there are hops and malt in there trying to get out without succeeding. The elderflowers make a blanket over everything. Dark head, fine lacing.

Golden and poured with a medium head.Quite sophisticated hoppiness that lingers well. Well balanced with a slight bitterness.Another excellent bottled beer from this consistently good brewery.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 500ml Bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - Amber in colour. Hoppy aroma with some grapefruit notes. Hoppy taste with some grapefruit notes featuring again. It is hoppy but reasonably well balanced. Enjoyable. 3.5 Update - 2013. Very refreshing, with lemon, orange peel and elderflower standing out. Really enjoyable. 3.8

Bottled (BBE 06/2010). Pale amber color, small, mostly vanishing white head. Nutty hoppy, a bit toffeish nose. Hard mouthfeel. Woody malty flavor, underlying diacetylic notes. Boring and watery brew. More an pale ale/bitter than an ESB. Beer’s recipe is more exciting in theory than in practise.

Bottle from Tesco Southport, pours a pale orange, good head with nice lacing on the glass, aroma of fruits which leads onto a very subtle tangerine flavours in the mouth mixed in with an almost grassy taste, finishes with some citrus
