Donít usually like beers with elderflower, so wasnít expecting to like this. But the hops dominate, leaving something like a cross between a traditional strong IPA and a refreshing summer ale. And it works. Delicious, unusual and versatile. Session? Tick. Just one bottle to unwind after work? Tick. Accompanying food? Tick. An absolute humdinger.

Bottle 0.5. premium bitter ale - comprising a mixture of 7 malt (barley and wheat), elderberry, lemon peel. Color - a little dark (caramel malt flavor and feel). Floral aroma, fragrant hops (similar to the "Pearl"). Taste - the rich - and the malt and hops are well audible, hop a lot, like IPA, astringent aftertaste.

Super piwo lekko mglisto-metne, ale bez drożdzy w butelce. Aromaty się mieszają słodkie z gożkimi, aromatyczne z wytrawnymi. Piana średnia ale błyskawicznie opada. Smak goryczkowy jednak przeważa. Finisz jak przystalo na ESB bardzo wytrawny.

* Bottle. Pours cloudy dark gold, with a white head. * Aroma is malts, biscuit, caramel & lemon. * Palate is medium body, moist, low carbonation, very fine bubbles. * Taste is lightly sweet, malty, caramel, biscuit & slight lemon. * Finish is dry, citrus, refreshing.

Golden colour. Thin white head. Floral aroma. Bit like parma violets. Light carbonation. Biscuity, sweet dough. Light brown sugar. Easy to drink. Lovely.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2008 Bottle from Tesco. Resinous, musty hopsack aroma with satsuma and elderflower. Fresh green hop crunch, tangy citrus and a delicate biscuity malt balance. Nettles, rose, orange..so juicily hopped it’s approaching American IPA territory. Pithy and floral, but the elderflower is beautifully understated and integrated with the hops. One of the best bottled British beers I’ve tasted.

Bottled, 500ml, filtered. From Tesco, Banbury. Gold with white head. Lovely spicy lemony grassy aroma which follows on into the beer. Itís really difficult to get a bitter freshness in a bottle, but this one manages it. Fresh dry and bitter, citric and lasting. Really enjoyed it while cooking the Christmas Roast.
