Appearance - golden with a haze and a proportionate head.
Nose - lemon and pale malt.
Taste - more of the same.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a nice bitter finish.
Overall - lies somewhere between pale ale and bitter.

Golden with a creamy white head. Hoppy aroma, some caramel malt, a bit of fruit. Light sweet with a light bitter finish. Smooth oily texture, with low carbonation. Really nice beer.

Cask at Blackfriars, Aberdeen. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is spice, wood, caramel, candy cane and sticky dark fruit. The taste is bitter-sweet, wood, spice, dark fruit, berry, leather and leaf with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice flavour and balance. Decent stuff.

[cask at the Baillie, Edinburgh] Pours amberish brown, with a decent white head. Aroma of caramel malt, ginger and some sprucey pine. Gentle fruity malt on the palate, some sweetness, and then a distinct aftertaste of spruce - not quite to the extent of Nollaig or Alba, but it’s there

Cask @ The State Bar. Medium brown colour, good head. Fruity malt aroma. Flavour the same but definite cherry hints. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Reasonable bitter but possibly could be classed as a fruit beer.

From cask at Market Porter. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malty and caramelish. Light spiced too. Bitter and toasted caramelish. Bitter, caramelish and toasted malty into the finish.
