Half liter can from Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of sweet apples, brown sugar. The taste is mulled apples, tart apples, apple skins, grainy/mealy notes, brown sugar. Thin bodied, lingering tartness.

Can from Big Lots. Light copper in color. Sweet nose with some tart apple. Smells like apples, not chemicals. Sweet and pretty full flavored. Solid cider.

Iím originally an IPA guy, so I like these ciders that have some flavour and some kick to them. One of the better Iíve tried.

Saarlander (1686) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - AUG 20, 2013
Canned from .99 cent, Ontario, California. Very spritzy pour, nice fruit aroma. Green apple dominates, abit sweet, but very drinkable, creeps up on you, Abit of sourness on the lips but on the sweeter side overall, a decent drink, pleasant surprise! very nice in an ice cold glass.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with an aroma of almost overripe apples. Near med body. Itís astringent. Green apple sort of flavor. Comes across like sweet/tart. Probably one of the more flavorful and drinkable ciders.

brokensail (10605) - Orange County, California, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Golden pour with a short lived white foam. Tons of green apple sourness. A bit of a green Jolly Rancher flavor. Sugary sweetness, some grass, and straw. The flavor is sweet, sugary, and sour. Green apple, a little bit of grass, and a carbonic finish.

Can. Pours with a clear and fizzy, deeper golden hued body. Minimal head retention after the initial rush of carbonation. Aromas are sharply appley, mild sulfur, doughy, medium sweetness, medium-low acid. Some earthy notes, but nothing too funky. Flavors are medium sweet, apple, light acid (both natural and artificial). Medium body. Lightly earthy, low tannin. Very fizzy carbonation with harsher, bigger bubbles. Okay.
