Can from bevmo. Cheap tasting perry. Mild and fairly easy to drink. Some sugary sweetness and some sour notes as well.

Pours pale yellow with no head and plenty of bubbles. Pear aroma, check. Sweet pear flavor, check.....but then it turns cloying and astringent. Interesting, but glad I was sharing this one.

On Tap, Union Jack’s Knoxville. Ok, So I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into here before I even took a sip. Is there pear flavor and aroma? oh yes my friend, there is pear flavor and aroma - plus some tart lemony notes, as well. Not bad for the first half of the pint, actually. Then it started getting heavier and cloying and...well, neither I nor The Bride could finish it...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Metalchopz (1173) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2011
Originally rated November 2006. Purchased at the LCBO, my first pear cider. There was another William’s Sir Perry from the US, but this is not the one. This one from England, pours a clear very light yellow colour with the usual cider bubbly small head that disappears fast. The pear smell is mild, with a butternut aroma sticking out. Watery mouthfeel with a slight tart. The taste is not too sweet and does not have the metallic flavour that many ciders have. A little grainy with the pear juice taste. Quite nice and refreshing. A good alternative to apple ciders.

Can, consumed at the lake. I don’t know how this looks, as I drank it from the can while floating in the lake. Aroma and flavor are sweet cider with too much residual sugar for me. Not really any pear traits here to speak of. In a blind taste test, I would peg this as any mass-produced non-artisanal cider. Disappointing, but I guess I should have known what to expect.

Can. OK, I have to remeber what I am drinking here. First Perry so I’ll do my best. Tastes more like a cider then anything. The after taste is all pear. Aroma is also more pear then apple. Color is golden, honey. Wine drinkers ought to live this.Has a pretty good kick.

Not afraid of the Perry! Ok, I normally don’t quote my wife on the scent or flavor of beers or ciders, bug this one amused me so. She sniffed Sir Perry and announced that it smelled almost exactly like the photo chemical Dektol. Despite that, I enjoy this cider. See, I have to limit my actual beer intake, so I frequenty have a cider instead. Sir Perry is light, a bit washy, has a strong sweet smell, has a subtle sourness, and a little fermented pear and apple, almost like a brown apple. Drinks smooth, but a bit bubbly an bitter as it closes out. Crisp, but sometimes seems a bit watery at times. Still, an alright cider.
