On draft at the the greene leaf newtown. Pours a clear deep amber with fair off white head. Definitely a bourbon beer! Nose and flavor has strong vanilla and oaky notes. Caramel sweet malt and Pine hops especiallyon the finsh. Tasty and interesting choice for barrel aging a beer.

This beer was a surprise. Poured from tap a red amber color with a small white head. Aroma is bourbon, sweet, with hints of both regular and brown sugar. The flavor is pretty heavy on the bourbon alcohol, with touches of hops, sweet malts.

Sampled on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a medium head. Average head retention and nice lacing. The nose is nice with notes of bourbon, maple and vanilla. Taste is lightly toasted malts, bourbon, light nutty notes, faint oak and a strong pine-like hoppiness. I found this one too bitter. Medium bodied.

Had on draft at Beerrun in Charlottesville, VA. Dark brown with virtually no head. Not much aroma, but some oak and caramel. Tastes of oak, barley, burnt caramel and some hops on the finish. Pretty decent, but the oak overpowers the rest of the beer.

Draft at Taphouse Hampton and at the brewery. Amber bodied pour with a short off white head. Aroma is bourbon, oak, caramel, and vanilla. Rather sweet but also rather enticing. Taste is strong caramel and bourbon, oak, light toffee, brown sugar and sweet malts. Body is slick and moderately chewy with slight alcohol warmth. Ends with more caramel, bourbon, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, and sweet malts. Very tasty! Top marks for AleWerks!
