Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks man! Pour is pitch black with a small brown head and decent lacing. Green peppers, coffee, dark chocolate, wood, a touch of vanilla, and graham crackers. Taste is big dark chocolate, oak, coffee, bourbon, a touch of spicy peppers, and roast with a toasty bitter finish. Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really tasty stout.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks to Aaron! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, chocolate, caramel, nice coffee, coffee bean, hints of espresso, slight green coffee as well. Taste is a mix of nice green espresso coffee bean, hints of caramel, toffee, slight earth, grain, touch of spice, slight chocolate, dark fruits, fnishing farily bitter.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Pours a deep brown, cloudy appearance with a thin brown head. Rich chocolate, delicious well roasted coffee, vanilla, sweet bourbon aroma. A touch fruity, rich dark chocolate, sweet coffee, vanilla, mild toffee, easy drinking bourbon flavor.

15th November 2011 Opaque dark brown beer. Short lived tan head. Smooth silky palate, has some body. Smooth rich coffee, not bitter or roasty. Creamy and tangy this is smooth all the way. Very drinkable.

On tap at the first night of "43 hours of dark" at the Birch. Pours opaque black with a small brown head and decent lacing. Aroma is coffee and roasted malts, with notes of whiskey and something a bit musty. Flavor is the same, medium sweet with a strong coffee presence and not much bitterness. Medium body with a dry clean finish.

Light sweetness, with chocolate, sweet bourbon, and coffee flavors. Palate is full and creamy, with almost no carbonation, and has a long finish with off-dry, roasted coffee and chocolate flavors.

2012 bottle. Pours near black with a slight tan head. Nice light sweet vanilla bourbon aroma. Taste is very bourbon forward. Lots of vanilla, oak, booze. A great, warming sipper.

Bottle. Pours black with an off white head. Smell is malty and roasty expresso with some popping sweetness. Taste is vanilla, bourbon, sweet milk chocolate/cocoa, bold expresso, faint oak. Coffee really holds up to the bourbon. Really nice.
