"This is our Coffeehouse Stout amped up to 8% abv and aged for a couple of months in Virginia Gentleman Reserve Bourbon Barrels. Another unique AleWerks beer which blends the rich, coffee-milk stout flavors with those of vanilla and bourbon."

Kinda meh. Not memorable at all. Thin and not a very good coffee flavor. Nope.

Bottle yesterday at Church Key, DC. Black. Aroma of sweet bourbon, oak, and roasted malt. The taste adds coffee, raisin, and finishes with the perfect amount of bourbon. Balanced, not over powering at all. Rich, low carb. Basically a perfect bourbon coffee stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (22 oz). From pandableh, thanks Dan! Black with a small beige head and little lacing. Aroma is complex but not overpowering with coffee, bourbon, roasted malt, caramel, some sweetness, vanilla and chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet with vanilla, coffee, bourbon, caramel, chocolate. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly silky finish. Very good balance and nice drinkability for the style. Complex without being 20% abv. Well done.

22oz bottle pours a murky, inky black with one ring of tan head. Nose has a lot of milk chocolate, a lot of molasses, sweetened coffee, brown sugar, caramel, a little wood, raisin. Flavor has sweetened coffee, vanilla, toasted coconut, toasted marshmallow, a little booze, almost a little whiskey and cola. Full, sticky finish.
