3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear reddish copper with a foamy large oft-white head. Aroma of malty pine, faint caramel and tangy citrus. Taste of burnt caramel, roasted malts and hops. Quite different for an IPA.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Pours a light mahogany color with a significant beige head. Aroma of resin hop over lightly roasted caramel. Medium+ body with firm and frothy carbonation. Flavor is strong malt with balancing hop. It is a good taste. Maltier than most IPAs, but the bitter stands up to it. Good stuff.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 ounce bottle from Green Leafe Cafe, New Town location. Bronze pour with little black floaties and a big head. Kinda bland earthy hop aroma. Very bitter and earthy hop taste. Medium body. Pleasant, but not very complex.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Excellent IPA, right on target for the style: pours a dark amber with a full sized off white head. Floral, grapefruit, slightly piney and fresh hops on the nose. Taste is mildly acidic, but packs a powerful punch of stanky hops. Citrusy all the way through. Finish is long.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2010 12 oz with no batch code stamp. Mostly clear, reddish copper with a large, sticky head that lasts. Pine resin, orange, molasses, caramel, bready yeast and slight lemon in the aroma. Earthy flavors of resin, peppery oak, and pith more than balance the slight orange and molasses sweetness. A hint of metal at times. Long, dry and bitter finish on this smooth, medium-bodied brew.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle: Reddish copper pour with an everlasting off white head. Muddled malt aroma that is more focused on sweetness than hops. Lots of chewy caramel and dough, followed by whispers of citrus and lemon. The bitterness is surprisingly subtle. More caramel in the body - so much so that it is really chewy. The hops are a bit more in the forefront, with faded citrus and perfumey notes. Everything is kind of a mess here. Unremarkable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a cloudy orangeish-amber with a frothy off-white head. Rich citrusy aroma of orange, grapefruit, some pine needles, and a bit of earthiness. Flavor is good though not quite as rich. Notes of pink grapefruit and pine come through first, with a bit of toasty caramel and some earthiness. Riding a nice line between sweet and bitter, though not achieving the next layer of true depth. Overall a solid IPA and a pleasant souvenir of my July 4th vacation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy, dark amber body with a small, off-white head. The aroma is initially citrusy with notes of orange and grapefruit with a hint of grass. Strong malty notes of grain, toast and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter and moderately acidic. The finish is lightly bitter, but is lasting. Medium body with a fairly smooth texture, just slightly on the watery side. Average carbonation. Above-average IPA, but not as clean (too heavy on the malts) nor as robust in aroma as my favorite India pale ales. Thanks to BigMaze.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy-amber pour, with a nice retentive suds cap that leaves soapy lace. Big floral nose, earthen hops and grass. Nicely bitter the whole way through, there is a nice note of caramel, spiced citrus.... then finishing toward the back-palate with toast, citrus zest/peel and lingering bitters. Medium mouthfeel, as the carbonation provides just enough life to round out the creamy palate. Decent stuff here.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks like tarnished bronze. Super hoppy as it’s the style. Very bitter. I was graciously gifted with a large head when I poured it from a bottle. Beware of hops and grassy taste.
