Bottle. Copper pour with a short, fizzy tan head. Aroma is caramel, soft spicy hops, light nuttiness and earthy notes. Taste is strong spicy hops, nutty flavors, caramel, sweet malt, fruit notes and earthy flavor. Body is medium with a strong bubbly carbonation. Ends with more spicy hops, earthy notes, carob nuts, sweet malt, dried fruit and caramel.

Finally got my hands on this! Bottled. Pours copper with a small white head. Nose is fruit, caramel, and nuts. Taste is very fruity with berry notes, caramel, earthy hops and nuts. Body is light-medium with moderate carbonation. Ends with more berry, peach, cherry, caramel and nuts. Very odd amber ale.

PapaSkeetSkeet (1000) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - JUN 6, 2011
Burnt gold color, brilliant amber-orange when held to the light, thin tan oily head. Aroma of sweet caramel with a touch of sap. Flavor is sappy throughout with a malty sweetness, caramelly, but with so much hop flavor its not really overbearing caramel. Lots of evergreen and earthiness. Lovely, why does this have such a low rating? if it had the label of a different brewer (say... Stone Pale Ale) it might have had a much higher rating. A rather heavy syrupy palate.

Pours a rich amber color with no head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, and some pine. Caramel and toasted malt flavor with some hops at the back end. Creamy with a moderate body. Decent beer.

Tasting at Wine World. Brown/red with a thin white head. Scent of light spices and caramel. Light watery thin taste with some spice.

12oz bottle. Poured into my snifter glass I got a good whiff of malts. Sticking my nose in the glass only confirmed it. Aroma was pretty malty with slight hops. Flavor was semi sweet with hints of malt and hops, but nothing special.

Pours a rich amber, with hints of red, topped with an inch or so of ivory foam. The nose straight off the bat is big juicy caramelised oranges, with a touch of pine tucked away. The taste is sweet toffee balanced with bitter oranges, like a good English marmelade. Medium bodied, easy drinking and given that this particular bottle is about a year old, I am impressed.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate amber color with a two-finger off white head. Decent recent but fails to create any lacing. The nose is fairly one dimensional, mostly consisting of some mildly-toasted bread. There are some faint, earthy hops in there as well. The taste adds in a bit of a caramel touch along with fresh dough and toast. Slight bitterness and moderately dry. Medium body and a bit chewy with somewhat high carbonation levels. Drinks fairly well. Not their best, but solid nonetheless. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-21-2010

Clear, dark reddish brown, full dense tan head that fades, leaves heavy lacing. Aroma is moderate, soft hoppiness with evergreen character. Toasty malt flavor, mild bitter hop finish leaves a slight linger of pine trees. Simple and easy to drink. Medium body, low carbonation.

Steeeve (327) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2011
Hazy amber pour with a thin, quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toasted malts, and a light nuttiness. Faint trace of citrus hops. Pleasant, just not particularly strong. Taste is more hop forward than I imagined. Toasty malts are still evident, but are overpowered by a stale hop taste. Finish is dry and biscuity, like a weird pils. Mouthfeel is pretty good, a little heavier than light bodied. Drinkable.

12. oz bottle. Appearance deep and clear red with a generous off white head. Aroma caramel and some earthy hop aroma. Taste- Malty with note of caramel a tea -like tanic finish with a firm bitterness. Overall drinkable but has a distinct tea-like flavor that throws it off. I would like to try it again from a different batch.
