Draft at the 7th Annual Virginia Beer Fest. Kinz is correct in his description. This started as an Imperial Cream but ended up getting Belgian yeast. ASA is really the best category. Amber bodied. Small white head. Nose is fruity and sweet with hints of caramel and malt. Taste is malty and sweet. Very smooth creamy, almost with some candy notes. Soft caramel, Belgian yeast notes. Body is moderate with medium carbonation notes. Ends with more malt, caramel, fruit and Belgian yeast. Very different beer than I was expecting. Take a cream ale and blend it with a saison would be the best description for this. Original rating - 7, 3, 6, 3, 13.

10-08-2008 Bottle. Number 1778 of 2008. Hazy amber pour. Nose is fruity and yeasty with some caramel, sweet malts, spices and light funk. Taste is sweet malts, spices, Belgian yeast, fruits, and floral notes. Again, light funkiness coming through here. Body is creamy and smooth with a light-medium overall feel. There’s some light warmth to it from the alcohol. Finishes with more sweet malts, caramel, ripened fruits, peppery spices and yeast notes. Better than what I had at the VA Beer Fest.

Draft from Northern Virginia BrewFest. Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is pretty sweet, with a dose of spice and yeast. Flavor is sweet, with notes of spices, yeast and hops. Very refreshing for 8% - alcohol masked quite well.
