COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown Ale at its best. Brewed with two-row, crystal, Gambrinus honey, and chocolate malt, and hopped with Cascade to balance towards the sweeter side. Enjoy it with your meal. Brown ales originated in England and were the staple ale of 17th century English taverns. They were usually brewed on site, or by a local widow or housewife. The Tavern model as community social, political, economic and judicial center of activity was repeated in colonial America, a tradition AleWerks supports.

The aroma is very malty and rich with sweet caramel, chocolate, a hint of burnt grain, and resin hops. The appearance is deep amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma but soapy bitter. The palate is smooth with a dry finish. Overall a good beer but a tad to astringent and dry for the style.
