3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is their Address Unknown IPA brewed with a belgian yeast strain. Picture an IPA with the citrus/pine hop flavors replaced with dried fruit flavors of fig, prune and raisin like a barleywine or a belgian strong. This thiing is super balanced; lots of malt and hops. Thick and chewy mouthfeel. Almost no aroma (the one real dissapointment). I don’t know how to rate this exactly. I certainly enjoyed it, but I didn’t love it. It is very original, but I’m not sure that belgian yeast SHOULD be used in an IPA. Big points for originality though. Not something they should brew with any frequency, bit still a fun and tasty experiment.
