Tap at brewpub. 5oz sample. Mild buttery, pine-like aroma that is a bit spicy with what appears to be some Saaz notes. Transparent golden-yellow color with a white head. Very bready, doughy, and biscuit-like. Lots of chewy, somewhat grainy malts with some sweetness and a very mild hop kick to finish. Easy-drinking, and refreshing. Good for what it is.

Fair sweet malty aroma with mild buttery diacetyl. Clear, bright golden body is topped by low white head that recedes to ring. Grainy malt flavour with some butterscotch and light finishing bitterness. Creamy smooth texture with low carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.

New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #41. Small tap sample at the brewpub. Clear pale golden, touch of lasting head...very lightly fruity, bit of DMS...light, sweet, creamy body, very full and smooth, bit apple-touched. Top-notch for the style.

Straw golden body wears an honest white film. Lightly floral aroma, smooth, citrusy. Decent hop-malt balance, but at such low level of intensity, this doesn’t impress. The malts are grainy and have a raw barley feel to them. Nevertheless, it gets fairly bitter towards the finish.

Nearly empty, grainy aroma moves into a creamy lager feel...A little fat and lactic, not much flavor, but nonetheless well-done...

Weird. Dusty aroma, and there was something "fishy" at first--truly, fish-like--but it gave away some fruitiness. Somewhat overcarbonated. Not my favorite from Willimantic.
