Sampled at the brewpub. Golden in color with a small lasting off white head. Aroma of pale malts/grain, lightly toasty, with some light earthy and floral hops. Taste is much more flavorful than the average brewpub American golden- fresh pale malts, some lightly biscuity and toasty specialty malts, some floral hop character, dry with a crisp moderate hop bitterness for the style. Nicely done.

Draft @ Willi. A sorely underrated beer (though I do remember liking it less the first time I had it; batch variation?). Pours a clear, light bronze color; thin white head with excellent, fine-bubbled lacing, glistening. Basic dry toastiness and a touch of sweet cereal in the aroma. The mouthfeel on this is actually quite nice: medium feel; some sweet malts and bubble gum / toasty sugar upfront, with some lively mineral / citrus bitterness present as well; crisp, dry, and very toasty; remarkably drinkable and surprisingly tasty, generous stuff. Lengthy finish: dry toasted grains, some husks, and just a very satisfying, lasting toastiness / cereal note at the far end.

Not that this is a bad beer, but WBC’s flagship brew does not stand out from the brewery’s other excellent beers.

Cask at the brewpub. Murky yellow gold with a creamy off white head. Lovely lace! Floral hop nose, very light sweet malt. Very mild malt flavor, slightly sweet. Easy bitter finish. Disappears quickly from your glass - while the mild character of this beer is clearly aimed at the masses, it is well made and tasty!

Draught at brewpub. Citrus in the aroma with slight orange notes and some banana yeast flavors as well. Pretty aromatic for the style. Transparent golden/copper color with a small white head. Bubbly, carbonated start with banana yeast flavors. Finishes dry with some citrus hopping. A bit too carbonated. Milky flavors come in at the very end.
