I expected this beer to be their "accessible" beer, and while it is, there's quite a bit more flavor than expected. Clear golden body. Aroma is medium sweet, pine and some grapefruit. Taste is pine of medium intensity bitterness, some grapefruit, slight caramel malty. Medium body, slightly chewy.

Clear straw, no head. Very light nose, balanced grain and cereal nose. Typical light quaffable body shows more of that frequently encountered grainy yet balanced well made beer taste in the good brewpubs’ basic beers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 muzzlehatch (4424) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - FEB 24, 2004
Sample. Yeah, well I got the sampler. Yeah, well I'd already had a few of the offerings, yeah, well, the barleywine wasn't available in the sampler platter. Yeah, well, so I had to get this one to round out the five. Am I done yet? Oh, no, I have to write something about this beer? Something constructive? Not necessarily? Ok, now you're talking. Boring, pale golden, grainy boring stuff. Oh there's a bit of hops, the body isn't bad, but honestly for me this was just nothing special. Happy now?
