Pours hazy amber with a white head. Smells of noble hops, dry malt, grassy, floral. Tastes spicy with some nice dry pilsner notes and a floral punch on the finish.

On tap at Willimantic on the way home from a weekend in Boston for EBF. Pours a clear treacle brown amber with a thin white head. Slight sweetness, toast and grain. Toasty, nice lightly grainy bitterness. Clean and simple, toast and soft caramel. Creamy mouthfeel ends with a gentle bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Moderate straw for the malt, dried grass and citrus for the hops, with hints of wood and pepper in the background. Head is large, creamy, white with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is murky amber. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a pretty dry finish. This Bohemian Pilsener is unusual in the fact it’s hops presence is so citrusy and the palate is heavier than most others. Maybe not so true to style, but I’d certainly have this again.
