4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20Growler from the brewpub, drank a day after it was poured. Dry, grassy citrus pith aroma. Strong. Flavors are good. A nice complex breadth of tight, hoppy resin and pithy, dry minerals from citrus-like qualities. This is a fantastically flavorful IPA. Unlike most renditions of American IPAs, this one doesn’t shy on the bitterness, which I appreciate. Very fresh.

One of the worst IPAs that willibrew makes. Out of balance bitter with little hop flavor. Has an astringency to it that really detracts from the beer.

My least favorite of the 5 sampler pack from the pub. Lame flavor and poor after taste. Went nice with the jerk french fries though!

Growler from a growler swap. Rating #3. Great looking beer, light haze, dark copper with a bit of orange and a small white head. Light hop aroma with a bit of spice. Mild bitterness, more rye spice, but very subdued, pretty decent stuff and easy to drink. Nice. (2236)

(fresh growler) Medium beige head atop lightly hazed dark amber body, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some rye, caramel. Taste is the same as the aroma, and definitely delightful. Solidly bitter. Soft medium body, some chewiness. Willimantic’s done another fine IPA.

Pours a reddish copper and hazy with a small white head. Smells of sweet roses, some citrus, hints of caramel. Tastes of sweet rye, some nice complimentry citrus and a nice amount of bitterness.
