A Sim rate (Extreme Beer Fest Night of the Barrels): There’s something very soapy about the aroma. Sour barley wine flavour that mixes hops with very sour notes. There’s a tingle of sourness that stings the palate. The alcohol really hits you in the finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Glouglouburp (5545) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 2, 2010
In short: A unique tasty IPA that is woody, bitter, tart and dry. One of a kind.
How: Tap at Boston Extreme Beer Fest 2010. Night Of The Barrel session.
The look: Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Intense nose that blends coniferous hops, scented cedar and some other wood. Taste is strange and fascinating. Fresh coniferous hops, grapefruits, cedar sensation, citrus, wood. The beer all at the same time very tart, very bitter, very dry, very astringent. Hard to describe really. Wicked and tasty one of a kind creation. I’m telling you, this is a beer that will leave no stone unturned. In a metaphorical way. That you have to figure out by yourself. Because I honestly don’t have a clue what this could mean.
