3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep orange, light amber in color. Aroma is phenolicy and estery with a good deal of citrus hops. Taste is a good fusion between an IPA and Belgian strong- Alot of citrus and pine hops as well as a good amount of estery and spicy yeast. It does get a bit dirty mid palate, if that makes sense. Some candi sugar. Finishes bitter with lingering belgian yeast spice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours mostly hazy murky bright yellowish orange with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is nice citrusy hops blended with a good belgian phenolic yeast, doughy yeast and maltiness, but lots of pine and some grapefruit. Flavor is lightly sweet with bready pils malts, earthy raw bitterness and citrusy pine with a good tacky raw bitterness and a mostly dry finish. Not quite as refined as I would like, but defintiely a solid belgian DIPA.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Growler, thanks to Omar. Light clear copper with a white head. Mint, pine, phenolic banana in the nose - neat. Sharp, resinous, piney hops, dark caramel, mint, banana, menthol and toffee. Ends sharp and biting. Full, round with lively fine-beaded carbonation. Kudos to the brewer for trying something interesting - just wasn’t my thing.

Clear golden body with a medium-sized white head. The nose is lightly sweet and fruity with banana, apple, herbs and pepper. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter and medicinal with herbs, cotton candy, apple and pear. Medium body is rough and astringent with moderate carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler, courtesy of Omar. Pours an oily, yellowish-brown color; off-white head with great retention and cascading, fine-bubbled lacing. Chewy bubble gum and Belgian sugars in the aroma; cotton candy, minerals, and herbal hops; excellent hybrid character in the nose. Full mouthfeel: piney / herbal hops merged with a solid, estery and Belgian sugar malt core; decent hybridity, with a very mild astringency and chewy core. Lengthy, piney / herbal hop and belgian sugar finish; a decent show of alcohol.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler thanks to Omar and Ken. The aroma confuses the nose, with notes of apple, banana, twangy spices and Belgian yeast esters. Full and rich on the tongue, thick and chewy with some cherry-ish caramel or munich malt noticed, finishing slightly fusel and dry/pasty. It’s interesting but it doesn’t exactly impress me. The hops don’t work at all with the Belgian yeast, like they tend to do in these Belgian-IPAs actually brewed in Belgium.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a growler. Coppery, hazy pour. Aroma of banana candies, a hint of alcohol, and strawberry yogurt with granola; shifts with warmth into temporanillo and vanilla with brisk, sugary Belgian character. Slightly dark and thoroughly malty flavor, developing some citrus in tune with black cherry, pine nuts, and paper. Sweetness overpowers bitterness for the most part; candy sugar, berries, and black licorice. Somewhat heavy in the mouth, like a dense citrus-tinted dessert wine in its syrupy, sophisticated impression. Certainly interesting, though somehow underwhelming; it would do better to strike a more sprightly pose. Cheers to Omar for procuring the goods, and thanks for sharing, Ken!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Freshly tapped - Hazy burnished gold, thick creamy white head. Nose was fully complex and loaded with powdered candied citrus tones that lay on wafts of pine and earth. Warming brings out soft bready notes and hints of spiced guava. At room temp, it hits the realm of a tropical fruit salad. Soft sweet bread flavors opens up into a spiced hoppy explosion. Almost Duvel-like with a splash of tripel, and a boatload of PNW hops. Medium to full bodied, tight carbonation, dry, bittersweet finish. Just crazy unique! For those of you in the Northeast that have not been here yet, wait no longer. You’re really missing something special….
