Hazy orange amber with a thin white head. Perfumey floral nose, some pepperlike qualities, grass and caramel.Very bitter, herbal, floral and white pepper flavors. Some citrus notes come through as it warms a bit. Bitter citrus and pepper finish, mildly herbal. Solid, as usual from Willimantic, but paled in comparison to the VEG I have before it. Still, well done.

Jun 14, 2008 on tap-pours an off white head and hazy copper color. Aroma is sweet pine/citrus-grapefruit hops (magnum, challenger, Chinook). Taste is pine/citrus-grapefruit somewhat bitter hops, secondary sweet medium malt. Mild carbonation.

May 3, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark amber with off white head. Aroma floral hops and caramel. Taste grapefruit hops with hoppy bitter finish.

Apr 8, 2008 Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is dominated by spice, perfume, some resiny hints, bitter citrus, grass. Taste yields a nice malty beer with a pronounced hop character and a nicely balanced bitter finish.
