On tap at the brewery: Pours clear amber with a decent white head, little lacing. Aroma of caramel, bread, and earth. Taste is roasted sweet malt base, a little nutty, and some light hops notes at the end. Itís slightly better than most reds, but itís still a red. Light body, medium carbonation, itís ok.

This red ale is a red ale. Nothing fancy just your average ol run of the mill red ale. Malty light spicy hops and medium sweetness.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poured a clear copper color. There was almost no head on it, and left little lacing. It had a nice lighter aroma. Slightly earthy, floral, a hint of roastiness. Taste was very clean. Slight roastiness, hint of bitterness, medium bodied. Nice and easy to drink.

From the Brewery. With a clear ruby/amber hue, this beer is a well-balanced, crisp session ale. While this beer does not have the fruity palate of some red ales, it has a clean, smooth flavor.

Growler from the brewpub. Clear auburn with a 1 1/2 finger light beige head, fair retention. Fruity nose with plenty of sweet caramel and toasty malts in the nose with some light citrus and noble hops backing. Flavor is pretty much the same, plenty toasty. Finishes semi-dry with bitterness at a 2. Light to medium body with light carbonation. Very tasty and sessionable--well made with no flaws.

Lovely maltiness and delightful biscuitty character paired with light bitterness make this an unreasonably sessionable ale. Clear ad red it istempting and enjoyable to the last.
