12oz. draft from the brewery. Pours a clear, dark copper with a medium, white head that dissipates quickly. Heavy aromas of plums, roasted malts, whiskey, and some hints of spice. Flavor is of maltiness, booze, sweet fruit, and spice, with the whiskey coming through to finish. The whiskey flavor was strong, but not HUGE like other barrel-aged brews. The mouthfeel is very smooth and velvety. Very good, but only while supplies last!

12 oz draft at the brewpub. Clear reddish brown with a tight eggshell head. Sweet, malty nose, mild whiskey notes. Flavor has whiskey in the fore, with a thick sweet maltiness following. Mild alcohol burn. After warming, the whiskey really comes out, almost too much, and adds a light vanilla flavor. By the time I finished the glass, the whiskey became almost overbearing - taken down a notch would have been a bit better. Still, damn tasty overall.
