Draft at the brewpub. Pours an amber orange body with an off white head. Sweet hoppy tones, pine, grapefruit and citrus notes. Piney with a nice fruit contingent. Fresh floral hoppiness and a modest malt bill to warm the hoppiness. Excellent ipa.

Big tropical fruit aroma. Reddish brown pour not much head, nice sticky lace with good bubbles as well. Big tropical fruit flavors up front. Very fruity and nice. Not over the top bitterness, but a good use of hops to create a good deal of tropical fruit. Caramel and pale malts add some sweetness that helps with the fruity profile of this iipa. Finish is not as hoppy and long as I would like, but the drinkability is insanely high in this one.

Courtesy SoLan. Hazy dark amber pour, thin even white head. Moderately hoppy aroma, a bit of a muddy character to it. A bit milder on the taste than I anticipated, but still very drinkable and crisp, with a nice lingering hop finish.

In an effort to knock out the rest of my backlog, my ratings will be fairly generic and sparse. If the beer had anything special to offer, it will be noted following this disclaimer. The number ratings above are accurate based on my tasting notes. Following the elimination of my backlog, all beers will be entered in real time and will be more useful. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks to SoLan! Great American IPA with a ton of citrus and pine, and a smooth finish.

Brazen gold with a perfect long lasting almost beige head. Mandarin, sweet mango and candy apple aromas. BANG. Mandarins and sweet orange pith. Very dry, very bitter tongue dryness. Thick mango and banana, deep rustic roasted malts. So deep and complex, but light and fruity.

Growler, courtesy Solan. Pours a dark orange color with a small and foamy white head that settles to a thin film leaving swirls of lacing in the glass. The aroma is huge of piney hops, pine resin, and citrus hop bitterness. The flavor follows suit with the fresh pine and resinous hops, bitter grapefruit and citrus hops balanced out by a sweet toffee and caramel malt base. The hops run the show in this brew though. Medium bodied with ample carbonation and long, bitter finish from all the hops. This is a really hoppy double ipa, and one I enjoyed.

Growler thanks to Pantanap. Amber color with red tint and small, creamy, white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, very resiny, you can smell it from across the room. Flavor is very tropical fruits with that resin, grapefruit, and very earthy. Medium body with good carbonation. Pretty fantastic. Thanks Kan!

Growler… C&P’sLYFO ThrowdownThis beer rocks!... Hazy amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Very resiny, piny aroma with a little grapefruit thrown in for good measure. Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Citric and pine bitterness dominate the palate – “extremely bitter” would not be an overstatement. Bitter, grassy, dry finish. growler from nelson. thanks so much....pours a dark reddish caramel brown with a moderate white head... in your face aroma of really pungent tropical and floral hops that can be smelled from a good distance away... really well balanced and assertive flavors that teeter between the intense mango pineapple hops and sweet caramel hop. really nicely balanced. solid mouthfeel and just a great all around double ipa. 8/4/8/4/17
