This beer is not very good. A bit astringent and odd with some lemony hops that come across a bit plasticy. The malts taste a bit like macro corn water. Not a fan. Unsubscribe!

On tap at the brewery: Pours straw colored with no head. Aroma of a little hop and a lot of Fritos. Taste is very weak, finishing strong with the corn chips. Very light body, very little taste other than the gross finish. One of the worst beers Iíve had here... return to sender.

On tap at Willimantic on the way home from a weekend in Boston for EBF. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a thin white head. Toast and a bit of grain and light hops. Sweet and gentle. Light metallic hop notes. Pungent and grainy. Soft bitterness on the finish.

Growler from the brewpub, listed as 5.5% this year. Hazy reddish copper with a 1/2 finger beige head, down to a thick ring rather quickly, even after a vigorous pour. Hops are sweet and orange citrus, moderate presence. Solid bready and toasty malts with just a little honeyed sweetness in the nose. Flavor is much the same, but tends to be a lot sweeter (not incredibly sweet, but def. more sweet than the aroma led on). The finish is lightly spicy and semi-dry, bitterness peaked at a 3. Low carbonation (that had nothing to do with the growler--my gf had a pint at the brewpub with a minimal head as well) with a medium body. Not too bad--though the hops have fallen off in the week since I got the growler--much brighter at the brewpub. I think I did take a few notes when I was there--I shall add them later.

Pours amber with a thin tan head. Smells of sweet caramel, light citrus. Tastes of light oats, caramel, some pepper, dry.
